Bereshit/Genesis Chapter 26 – Stay put Isaac Part 2

Welcome

First posted FEBRUARY 11, 2020

Isaac is an engineer extraordinaire in well digging. He does not have a choice as the people loathe him and the wells that his father commissioned to be sealed up. He is still in the land obeying the instruction from YHWH Elohim to stay put. With every challenge from the Philistines and tribesmen, Isaac kept his head down and worked to procure water for his tent. Water is a precious commodity in that region, even more so with a severe famine bearing down upon everyone. Lack of sound reasoning and sensibilities between men can escalate minor disputes into significant conflicts. Isaac opted to keep his feet moving with YHWH his Elohim keeping a watchful eye on him. He passes the trials with flying colours and his actions were rewarded by YHWH Elohim. No sooner than the stress of finding water is relieved, Isaac gets a visit from his Philistine foes and then the marriage of his son Easu which became a grievous situation for him and Rebecca.

Community land is an essential component to people. Crown lands in Canada (Her Majesty’s Dominion) is administered by the Federal Government. A little over 80% of Canadian territory is crown, giving the federal government all jurisdiction over resources contained on and in the land. The challenge by the first nations tribes in British Columbia to the federal government is beyond a pipeline for transporting oil. It stems from unresolved issues of the past intertwined with economic development and opportunity. With the federal government extending an olive branch after the court decision in their favour, it is an opportunity to address concerns and giving a share in the prosperity that comes from the land.

The god(s) of the Philistines

The Philistines have a god that they venerated. The Philistines may not be visible to identify but their fish-god D.A.G.O.N impression is still noticeable in mainstream religious wear and symbology.
